We have received questions regarding the Designated Role Premium that Health PEI was to have applied recently.
You may recall that the parties agreed to this premium during the latest round of negotiations. The memorandum of agreement concerning the premium formed part of the tentative agreement that was ratified by the membership in November 2023. The premium applies to certain 24/7 departments and roles that the employer has determined as having staffing challenges that require the application of the premium incentive. This premium is a trial for one year.
