Hello IUOE Members,
We’re pleased to share that we have reached an agreement with Health PEI on a Memorandum of Agreement that will allow members to carry over the entire balance of their vacation bank for one additional year into the 2026–2027 fiscal year.
This agreement recognizes the challenges many members have faced in being able to use their vacation time and provides added flexibility to ensure that accrued time is not lost.
While this extension provides additional time, members are strongly encouraged to use any vacation time earned before April 1, 2025 as early and as often as possible. You have all worked extremely hard to help maintain our health system through a long and difficult period, and you have earned this time.
Taking time away from work is important for rest, recovery, and overall well-being, and helps ensure you can return to work refreshed and supported.
